which device may I add to the tankless heater circuit to limit wasting water before reaching the hot temperature ? is a thermal by-pass valve enough?
That's not possible water must flow thru the heater in order for the heater to activate. Once it activates you have lag time which is the time it takes to push out the cold water in your hot line until the hot water reaches the the fuacet in use. Lag time varies contingent upon the feet of travel from heater to faucet. The closer the faucet the lower the lag time and vise versa. Hope this helps you.
