Twice the compact heating power. The same straightforward approach.

When a sink or localized hot-water job needs more muscle, the Voltura TP7E is the natural step up. Its 7 kW output at 240V doubles the heating power of the TP3.5E while keeping the same clean, compact Inline 800 format. A utility sink, kitchen work area or bathroom washbasin can have a dedicated tankless solution without giving up the space a storage heater demands.

This is a simple heater to understand, with useful specifications behind the uncluttered face. The front dial offers OFF, LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH, selecting 3, 3.5 or 7 kW of heating power. The unit activates at 0.5 GPM and uses 1/2-inch NPT plumbing connections. Its 7.3-by-11.8-by-3.55-inch cabinet is the same compact footprint as the smaller model, so the extra capacity does not require a bigger box on the wall.

The TP7E is a hardwired, single-phase 240V appliance with a dedicated circuit, 29-amp rated current, a 30-amp breaker and 10 AWG wiring. For a focused point-of-use upgrade, it delivers a compelling combination of compact size, selectable power and a five-year limited original-owner warranty. Choose it for more localized heating capacity, not as a shortcut to sizing a whole-house system.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • Can the TP7E be mounted vertically with the pipes to one side?

No. The compact heater is installed horizontally, with water connections at the bottom. Upward-facing or side-facing water connections are not permitted. The small cabinet gives you flexibility in choosing a location, but not in changing the required mounting orientation.
  • Why does reducing faucet flow make the water hotter?

The TP7E has a fixed amount of heating power at each dial position. Sending less water through the heater lets that power create more temperature rise in the water that is flowing. Excessive flow and colder incoming water can make the outlet feel too cool.
  • Will the TP7E run on a 120V circuit?

No. The TP7E is the 240V, 7 kW model. For a 110/120V point-of-use application, look at the TP3.5E instead. The electrical supply and hot-water demand both matter when choosing between these compact heaters; they are not interchangeable on the same circuit.
  • How much space does the TP7E take up?

The cabinet measures 7.3 inches high by 11.8 inches wide by 3.55 inches deep. The heater weighs 3.4 lb, excluding packaging. Leave the heater accessible and allow room for the correctly oriented plumbing and professional electrical installation.
  • What is the minimum flow needed to activate the TP7E?

The TP7E activates at a minimum flow of 0.5 GPM. That figure describes when the heater starts operating, not how many gallons it will heat to every desired temperature. Incoming water temperature and the amount of water flowing through the unit determine the heating work required.
  • What are the three heat settings on the TP7E?

LOW selects 3 kW, MEDIUM selects 3.5 kW and HIGH selects 7 kW. There is also an OFF position. The dial changes electrical heating power rather than selecting an exact outlet temperature; the final water temperature depends on the chosen power level, incoming temperature and flow.
  • How does the TP7E compare with the TP3.5E?

At its rated supply voltage, the TP7E provides 7 kW, twice the TP3.5E's 3.5 kW output. Both share the compact Inline 800 cabinet and stepped front-dial controls. The electrical difference is important: the TP7E uses 240V, while the TP3.5E is the 110/120V model.
  • What kind of project is the TP7E a good choice for?

The TP7E is a compact point-of-use heater for sinks and localized hot-water demand. It offers more heating power than the TP3.5E without stepping into a larger digital cabinet. A dedicated utility sink, work area or washbasin is the kind of focused application where this format makes sense.
  • What electrical circuit does the TP7E require?

The TP7E requires a single-phase 240V supply, one dedicated circuit, a 30A breaker and 10 AWG wire, with a rated current of 29A. It is a hardwired heater. Have a licensed electrician plan and complete the installation to the applicable electrical requirements.
  • What plumbing connection size does the TP7E use?

The water connections are 1/2-inch NPT. The compact Inline 800 family operates at 7-115 psi and requires a pressure relief device in the installation. Plumbing must be completed before electrical connection, and the heater is mounted with its water ports at the bottom.
  • What maintenance should I plan for with a TP7E?

Plan for periodic descaling, especially in hard-water areas. Maintain the heater annually, or every six months when mineral levels are unusually high. Service access and maintenance valves are useful parts of the installation because mineral scale can affect the heating elements and operation.
  • Is there a warranty on the TP7E?

Yes. The TP7E comes with a five-year limited warranty for the original owner purchasing through an authorized reseller. It covers specified defects through replacement parts or a replacement heater, not labor or return freight. Proper installation, operation and maintenance are conditions of coverage, and the written exclusions apply.
