The compact Voltura that moves into household hot-water territory.

The Voltura TP13E puts 13 kW of heating power into the same compact Inline 800 cabinet used by the smaller Voltura heaters. For a smaller home, apartment or rental property in a warm climate, that is a serious step up from a dedicated sink heater. In our kW-based heater-map guidance, it belongs in the 1.5-to-2-bath warm-climate class, giving shoppers a household-oriented option without moving to the larger digital range.

Its approach is refreshingly direct: a front dial with OFF, LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH positions, delivering 4.5, 8.5 or 13 kW at the three heating levels. There is no digital temperature target to program. Instead, you select the power level and match the water flow to the hot-water job. The heater activates at 0.5 GPM, uses 1/2-inch NPT connections and occupies just 7.3 inches of wall height by 11.8 inches of width.

Behind the simple face is a dedicated 240V electrical installation with 55-amp rated current, a 60-amp breaker and 4 AWG wire. That makes electrical planning part of the purchase, not an afterthought. For a properly sized warm-climate application, the TP13E offers the strongest compact Voltura package, backed by a five-year limited original-owner warranty and the practical advantage of heating without a storage cylinder.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • Will the TP13E produce the same heat on a lower supply voltage?

No. The TP13E delivers 13 kW on 240V and 10.9 kW on 220V. Lower voltage means less available heating power. The electrical supply therefore matters to hot-water sizing; the 13 kW model name does not make output independent of the installed voltage.
  • Why can adding another running fixture lower the water temperature?

Opening another fixture increases total flow through the heater. At a selected power level, the TP13E must distribute its heating capacity across that larger flow. Excessive flow can lower the outlet temperature, which is why simultaneous fixture demand belongs in the sizing decision.
  • How much flow starts the TP13E?

The minimum activation flow is 0.5 GPM. Once running, the selected power level, incoming water temperature and total flow determine the temperature rise. If several fixtures run together, their combined flow is what the heater has to handle.
  • Can I rotate the TP13E when mounting it?

The TP13E must be mounted horizontally, with its water connections at the bottom. Do not mount it with the connections pointing upward or to either side. Choose a serviceable location that accommodates that orientation rather than rotating the heater to suit the pipe route.
  • What are the TP13E water connection size and pressure range?

The TP13E uses 1/2-inch NPT water connections and has a 7-115 psi working pressure range. Its installation also includes a pressure relief device, with plumbing completed and the unit filled before electrical power is connected.
  • Does the TP13E have digital temperature control?

No. The TP13E uses a front power-selection dial, not a digital temperature setpoint. LOW is 4.5 kW, MEDIUM is 8.5 kW and HIGH is 13 kW, plus OFF. For digital temperature selection and automatic power modulation, the larger Voltura TP18E and above are the relevant family.
  • How is the TP13E different from the TP7E?

The TP13E delivers 13 kW at 240V, compared with 7 kW for the TP7E, while retaining the same compact cabinet. It also has different heating steps and a larger electrical requirement. The TP7E is focused on point-of-use jobs; the TP13E moves into smaller warm-climate household applications.
  • Is the TP13E suitable for a small home or apartment?

The TP13E is the household-oriented model in the compact range. Our kW-based guidance places it in the 1.5-to-2-bathroom class for warm climates. Incoming water temperature and simultaneous fixture flow remain part of sizing; its strongest fit is a smaller warm-climate property rather than a high-demand cold-climate home.
  • What breaker and wiring are specified for the TP13E?

The TP13E uses a single-phase 240V supply with 55A rated current, a 60A circuit breaker and 4 AWG wire. It needs one dedicated electrical circuit. A licensed electrician must complete the electrical installation and evaluate the available supply and applicable installation requirements.
  • How large is the TP13E?

The compact cabinet measures 7.3 inches high, 11.8 inches wide and 3.55 inches deep. The listed unit weight is 3.4 lb, not the boxed shipping weight. It packs the highest output of the Inline 800 group into the same cabinet dimensions as the TP3.5E and TP7E.
  • How should the TP13E be maintained in hard-water areas?

The heater needs periodic maintenance and descaling because minerals can accumulate on the heating components. Maintain it annually, or every six months with unusually hard water. Provide service access and maintenance valves so the unit can be flushed without making upkeep an awkward project.
  • What does the TP13E five-year warranty cover?

The limited warranty covers the original authorized-reseller purchaser for specified workmanship, material and leakage defects from the purchase date. The remedy is replacement parts or a replacement heater. Labor and return transportation are excluded, and correct installation, use and maintenance are required; the written terms and exclusions govern coverage.
