The full-power Voltura: 36 kW, digital control, no storage tank.

The Voltura TP36E is the heavyweight of the range, delivering 36 kW at 240V. That is twice the TP18E's rated heating power and 50 percent more than the TP24E. For a larger household or a project where cold incoming water demands more from the heater, this is the Voltura to put at the top of the shortlist. Our heater-map class covers 1.5-to-2 bathrooms in cold climates, 2-to-2.5 in moderate climates or 3 in warm climates.

Its power is paired with automatic modulation, not just an on/off command. Water-flow and temperature sensors help the unit adjust element power to maintain the selected outlet temperature within available capacity. Front controls and the digital display keep operation straightforward, with a maximum temperature selection of 125 degrees Fahrenheit. Three-quarter-inch NPT connections, a 0.5 GPM activation threshold and booster-compatible preheated inlet water add useful detail to the high-capacity package.

The biggest model requires the most electrical planning: four dedicated 240V feeds, four 40A double-pole breakers and a maximum current of 150A. It is an indoor, upright wall-mounted heater, with its own clear installation and maintenance requirements. For the customer who needs the strongest Voltura option rather than a larger storage cylinder, the TP36E brings the full 36 kW digital platform and a five-year limited original-owner warranty.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • How much space and support does the TP36E unit require?

The TP36E measures 23.23 x 4.53 x 14.77 inches and weighs 16.23 lb. The heater mounts upright on the wall with water connections at the bottom. Plan additional room for the required clearances, plumbing, four power feeds and future service access.
  • Can the TP36E be mounted outside?

No. The digital Voltura heaters are designed for indoor household use, protected from freezing, rain, direct sunlight, splashing and excessive moisture. The TP36E also needs an accessible location for maintenance. Do not install this model outdoors or in a location that can freeze.
  • Does the TP36E automatically adjust heating output?

Yes. The digital heater uses flow and temperature sensors to modulate power to the heating elements toward the outlet temperature you select. The front display and temperature buttons provide control. Automatic modulation works within the available heating capacity; it does not remove the effects of colder inlet water or greater simultaneous flow.
  • Can the TP36E boost water that has already been heated?

Yes. The TP36E accepts preheated inlet water and can serve as a booster. It still requires its full specified electrical installation and a correctly designed plumbing arrangement. The booster role does not change the temperature limits or indoor mounting requirements.
  • What temperature can I set on the TP36E?

The maximum selectable setting is 125 F, or 52 C. The front controls adjust the selected temperature and the display shows it. Water above 120 F can cause burns, so select a household-appropriate temperature and check water before bathing or showering.
  • Can the TP36E use the same three-circuit setup as a TP29E?

No. The TP36E requires four dedicated 240V feeds, while the TP29E uses three. Both use 40A double-pole breakers for each specified circuit, but the circuit count is different. An upgrade therefore needs electrical planning; it should not be treated as a simple cabinet swap onto the same wiring.
  • What bathroom sizing class does the TP36E fit?

Our kW-based heater-map guidance places it in the 1.5-to-2-bath cold-climate class, 2-to-2.5 baths in moderate climates or 3 baths in warm climates. It is a high-capacity whole-house option. The temperature of incoming water and the fixtures operating together remain central to choosing the right size.
  • Is the TP36E the most powerful Voltura model?

Yes. At 36 kW on a 240V supply, the TP36E is the highest-powered Voltura in our seven-model lineup. It has twice the rated power of the TP18E and 50 percent more than the TP24E. That extra capacity also comes with the largest electrical installation requirement in the range.
  • How many power feeds and breakers are needed for the TP36E?

The TP36E requires four dedicated 240V circuits, each on a 40A double-pole breaker, with 150A maximum current. Use four 8/2 AWG cable runs with ground and one 10 AWG ground conductor per circuit. A qualified electrician must evaluate and complete this multi-feed installation.
  • What water connections and activation flow does the TP36E have?

The TP36E has 3/4-inch NPT water connections and needs at least 0.5 GPM through the heater to activate. Its working pressure range is 7-150 psi. The temperature rise available during use depends on the incoming water temperature and total flow through the heater.
  • What maintenance should I expect with the TP36E?

Clean the inlet pre-filter every six months and check periodically for mineral scale. Maintain the heater annually, with more frequent service in unusually hard water. Service access and maintenance valves help keep those routine tasks manageable.
  • What warranty is included with the TP36E?

The original owner purchasing through an authorized reseller receives a five-year limited warranty. Covered workmanship, material and leakage defects are addressed through replacement parts or a replacement heater. Labor and return freight are excluded, and proper installation, operation and maintenance and all written exclusions apply.
