A small heater with a very specific talent: hot water at your sink.

Not every hot-water project calls for a whole-house powerhouse. The Voltura TP3.5E brings 3.5 kW of electric tankless heating at 120V to the fixtures that need their own focused solution. A bathroom vanity, workshop wash-up area or low-flow utility sink can have a compact heater of its own, without making room for a storage cylinder. It is the smallest Voltura we carry, built around point-of-use jobs rather than an entire home's hot-water demand.

The Inline 800 cabinet measures just 7.3 inches high, 11.8 inches wide and 3.55 inches deep. Its front dial gives you OFF, LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH positions, with 1, 2 and 3.5 kW power settings. This is straightforward, hands-on control: choose the heating level for the job and let the heater work when water is flowing. Half-inch NPT connections keep the plumbing specification clear, and the unit activates at 0.5 GPM.

For this small heater, a low-flow faucet is the right partner. The supplied 0.5 GPM aerator for the 3 kW model family helps concentrate available heat into a useful sink flow. Pair the TP3.5E with the right fixture and you have a tidy, purpose-built alternative to a bulky tank. A five-year limited warranty for the original owner rounds out a genuinely practical point-of-use package.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • Does the TP3.5E store a tank of hot water?

No. It is an electric tankless heater: it applies heat to water moving through the unit rather than keeping a cylinder of water ready. Its compact format is useful when the project is about serving one point of use without allocating space to a storage tank.
  • What can make the TP3.5E water feel cooler than expected?

Too much flow or colder incoming water can reduce the delivered temperature. The compact heater's power setting also matters. A properly matched low-flow faucet and the appropriate dial setting help make the most of this model's capacity; a higher-flow or whole-house job calls for a different heater size.
  • Why is the faucet aerator important on this small heater?

A low-flow aerator helps the TP3.5E put its available heating power to work instead of spreading it across too much water. The 3 kW model family uses the supplied 0.5 GPM aerator. It is an important part of a properly matched sink setup, especially when incoming water is cooler.
  • Can I mount the TP3.5E sideways to fit a cabinet?

No. The compact Inline 800 heater is mounted horizontally on the wall, with its water connections at the bottom. Do not mount it with the connections pointing upward or to the side. Plan the space around the correct orientation and keep the heater accessible for service.
  • What size plumbing connections does the TP3.5E have?

The TP3.5E uses 1/2-inch NPT water connections. The heater is mounted horizontally with both water connections at the bottom. Its installation includes a pressure relief device, with the plumbing completed and the heater filled with water before electrical power is connected.
  • How much water flow does the TP3.5E need to turn on?

The minimum activation flow is 0.5 GPM. Use the supplied 0.5 GPM faucet aerator for the smallest model family to concentrate heating into a low-flow sink application. A heater turning on and a heater delivering the temperature you want are different considerations; flow still affects temperature rise.
  • Does the TP3.5E use 120V or 240V power?

The TP3.5E is the 110/120V model in the Voltura lineup, with an output of 3.5 kW at 120V and 3.0 kW at 110V. It is not a 240V heater. It needs a dedicated, professionally installed electrical connection rather than an ordinary plug-in outlet.
  • What is the Voltura TP3.5E best suited for?

The TP3.5E is a point-of-use heater for a dedicated sink or another low-flow hot-water job. Its 3.5 kW output at 120V is intended for focused demand, not whole-house service. Think bathroom vanity, utility sink or a small wash-up station rather than several fixtures running together.
  • What do the LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH settings do?

The front dial selects heating power. LOW is 1 kW, MEDIUM is 2 kW and HIGH is 3.5 kW, with a separate OFF position. These are power levels, not exact water-temperature settings. The water leaving the heater also depends on incoming water temperature and faucet flow.
  • How big is the TP3.5E, and what does the heater weigh?

The Inline 800 cabinet is 7.3 inches high, 11.8 inches wide and 3.55 inches deep. The heater weighs 3.4 lb, excluding the shipping carton, master carton, pallet and added packaging.
  • Does the TP3.5E need maintenance if the water is hard?

Yes. Mineral scale can build up in the heater, especially at higher temperatures. Maintain the heater annually, or every six months with unusually hard water. A serviceable installation with maintenance valves makes periodic descaling easier and helps protect the heating components.
  • What warranty comes with the TP3.5E?

The TP3.5E comes with a five-year limited warranty from purchase for the original owner when purchased through an authorized reseller. Covered defects in materials, workmanship and leakage are addressed with replacement parts or a replacement heater. Labor and return transportation are not covered, and installation, use and maintenance conditions apply.
