The Tempra 15 Plus tankless water heater will produce enough hot water to run two showers at the same time in warm climates. It is ideally suited for the average two bathroom home and will raise the ambient incoming water temperature by 65℉ (degrees Fahrenheit) at 1.5 gallons per minute. What this means is that you will be able to use two points of hot water in your home at the same time and expect a consistently hot temperature. In addition, being a "Plus" series, gives this heater the added advantage of of being able to regulate water flow.

No you do not. The filter we provide with the Stiebel Tempra heaters are suffice to protect against hard water mineral deposits.
